The YB series is a cellulose-based depth filtration system using mineral filter aids for beverage, food and other process applications. Grades range from coarse clarification to fine and microbial-reduction filtration. Particles are retained by the tortuous path within the sheet and by adsorption effects. Final product sterility is not guaranteed by the sheet alone and depends on a validated filtration process. Material and food-contact documentation is confirmed by grade and intended use.
- The products can tolerate ethanol, isopropanol, glycerine, weak acids, weak bases, etc.
- Specified grades can withstand heat sterilization at 121 degrees Celsius; confirm the cycle and grade before use.
- Have intercept, adsorption and filtration capacity.
- All materials are treated with a special process to ensure very low dissolution and endotoxin content.
Components

- Cellulose pulp, high-quality diatomaceous earth, and perlite are used.
